Knight Moves | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Nigel Floyd Sight & Sound Despite an absurdly convoluted plot predicated on the idea that the hero might be a serial killer, this over-heated and over-stylised thriller is devoid of any real suspense... Leo P It's always hard to lose. But it's never harder than to lose a game of chess. It means that your adversary has outsmarted you,and no one wants to be called stupid. However,I have never before heard someone getting annoyed enough to kill six innocent women, and two policemen.Just because your King was mated.Great entertainment, though. Highly recommend Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/24 Full Review steve d Enough drama to work but nothing new. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a low-budget Christopher Lambert movie. BUT -- it's a pretty good low-budget Christopher Lambert movie, with a twisty plot, interesting atmospheric visuals, and a very good performance from Tom Skerritt. If you like thrillers that might keep you guessing, this isn't a bad choice. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Massively underrated, taut thriller Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Coming in a long line of erotic thrillers from the 90s is this...Not as bad as most and Diane Lane shows she is destined for better things.Lambert and Lane met and married after this movie but other than that this is a pretty standard, forgettable movie.
